VI PER Gallery announces an international open call for exhibition projects. The selected proposal will be realized at VI PER Gallery in late 2027.

The open call is open to architects, artists, designers, researchers, curators, and critics—either as individuals or teams—of any nationality and country of residence. There are no age restrictions. Submitted projects may take a wide range of forms associated with architecture, art, design, and other disciplines. Projects should reflect on the relevance of architecture in responding to contemporary issues and discourse.

We welcome original projects that demonstrate new and innovative ideas, a critical and experimental approach, and independent thinking. We especially welcome proposals for new projects that have not previously been presented publicly.

Applicants should be capable of conducting research and developing an original vision and coherent curatorial narrative, as well as an integrated curatorial and exhibition design proposal. Projects should clearly describe their aims, proposed timeframe, budget, and other relevant practical considerations. Proposals will be reviewed by an international jury that will consider submissions addressing a variety of architectural, spatial, design, and urban topics.

Projects may respond to the physical and conceptual context of the exhibition space through their installation and presentation. Given the dimensions of the exhibition space, we recommend submitting projects conceived as thematic exhibitions or exhibitions involving a relatively small number of participants.

The exhibition curator(s) and/or participant(s) should take part in the related public program, which may include discussions, lectures, workshops, screenings, or other events.

Selection criteria
Proposals will be evaluated based on the following criteria:
• conceptual quality and relevance of the proposed project
• originality and innovation of the proposed approach
• relevance to contemporary architectural discourse and related fields
• quality and coherence of the curatorial concept and narrative
• quality of the proposed exhibition and spatial approach
• feasibility of the project within the available space, timeframe, and resources
• potential for public engagement and the quality of the proposed related events program

Exhibition space
The gallery consists of three rooms. One room functions as a bookshop; the other two—a larger main space and a smaller side room—can be used for exhibitions. The side room may be used for smaller installations, video projections, or similar purposes.
The dimensions of the main exhibition space are approximately 8.8 × 5.7 × 3.3 m. The selected exhibition will be presented at VI PER Gallery for approximately two months.

Exhibition space materials
Applicants are encouraged to consult the supplementary materials provided by VI PER Gallery when developing their proposals. These materials include:
• floor plans and dimensions of the exhibition spaces
• photographs of the exhibitions (for more photos visit http://www.vipergallery.org/en/exhibitions)
These materials are available as part of the open call documentation. The attachments can be saved here.

VI PER Gallery offers

• PR and communication support, including a press release, social media, newsletters, etc.
